These terms apply to drainage services arranged with JW Drains Limited ("JW Drains", "we", "us") via jwdrains.co.uk, telephone, or email. By requesting a quotation or booking work, you agree to these terms.

Quotations

Quotations are based on the information available at the time of assessment. If conditions on site differ materially from those described, we will explain any change to scope and price before proceeding. Quotations are not binding until confirmed in writing or agreed on site.

Appointments & same-day attendance

We aim to offer same-day attendance across Essex, Hertfordshire, and surrounding areas when capacity and location allow. Same-day service is not guaranteed — arrival times depend on existing jobs, traffic, and engineer availability. We will give you a realistic window when you call.

Emergency & 24/7 cover

Our emergency line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Response times vary by location and demand. For life-threatening situations or public health emergencies, contact the appropriate emergency services first.

Access & site conditions

You are responsible for providing safe access to drains, manholes, and equipment. Please disclose known hazards, shared drainage arrangements, or restrictions (listed buildings, conservation areas) before work begins.

Payment

Payment terms are confirmed with your quotation or invoice. We accept agreed payment methods as stated on your invoice. Title to goods supplied may remain with us until paid in full where applicable.

Liability

We carry appropriate public liability insurance for our work. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law. Our liability for other loss is limited to the amount paid for the specific job giving rise to the claim, except where a higher limit is required by law.

Guarantees & workmanship

Workmanship guarantees, where offered, apply to the specific repair described on your invoice and do not cover unrelated defects, misuse, or third-party damage. Guarantee periods and terms are confirmed in writing for structural work.

Cancellation

Please give reasonable notice if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment. We may charge for lost time or costs incurred if an engineer is dispatched and access is not available.
